By using CareQuay you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What CareQuay is

CareQuay is an independent directory of licensed childcare in Canada, assembled from provincial, regional and municipal open-data releases. We are not a childcare provider, a government body, or an agent of any centre listed here, and we do not allocate spaces.

Accuracy of listings

Fees, vacancies, hours, subsidy and CWELCC participation come from the source dataset shown on each record, and the update date is published alongside it. Some values are estimates or ranges derived from those datasets, and every record marks which figures are published, derived or modelled. Details can be out of date or incomplete. Always confirm fees, availability and licence status directly with the centre before enrolling. See the field guide and data sources pages for details.

Applications and matching

Submitting an application sends your details to the centre you chose. It does not reserve a space, create a contract, or guarantee a reply. Matching results are a ranked suggestion produced from the priorities you set and the data available; the decision to offer a space is always the centre's. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you submit.

Accounts

Keep your sign-in credentials secure and let us know if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms.

Claiming a centre

Only someone authorised by the operator may claim a listing. Claims are reviewed before approval, and we may reject or revoke a claim, or request further proof, at our discretion.

Acceptable use

• Do not submit false, misleading or someone else's personal information.
• Do not scrape, bulk-download or resell the catalogue outside the published API and its limits.
• Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Do not use the site to harass providers or families.

Paid plans

Some intelligence dashboards and API access are offered on paid plans. Fees, billing periods and included limits are those shown at checkout. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store card details. You can cancel a subscription at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.

Intellectual property

Underlying open data remains subject to the open government licences of the publishing bodies, credited on the data sources page. The site design, written content and analytics models are ours. You keep ownership of the content you submit and give us permission to use it to operate the service.

Service availability

The site is provided “as is”. We may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time and cannot promise uninterrupted access.

Limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, CareQuay is not liable for losses arising from reliance on listing data, from a centre's decision or conduct, or from any interruption to the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page; continuing to use the site means you accept the change.
